Active Assailant Video
Training Video
Although the likelihood of an active shooter incident happening at Frostburg State University is low, the impact of such an incident would be great in the event that it did happen. As in any situation, planning and preparation are critically important to a successful outcome. Studies have shown that people who prepare for unexpected incidents are much better able to deal with them when they happen. For these reasons, the University Police Department is pleased to present to you in a web-based format the Active Assailant training video. Just as the presentation by an airline flight attendant on emergency procedures prepares passengers for the unlikely airplane crash, we hope this video presentation will help prepare you for the unlikely active shooter on campus.

Frostburg State University Police
During the Fall 2023 semester FSU-TV3 had two Department of Communication students completing their final internships working with University Police to produce an active assailant demonstration video. The goal for the project was to feature our University Police officers and how they provide a safe environment for the Frostburg State University campus community. The students scripted, coordinated, filmed, and edited the video during the Fall 2023 semester.
